Marketing Psychology The Reason You Are Attracted to Certain Brands

Five Tips to Branding Yourself

We’ve all been taught that a firm handshake, professional attire, and sound credentials are the makings for a good first impression.
Today, that’s no longer enough.
The advent of blogs, Facebook, and Twitter have enabled anyone and everyone to become known; connect in almost real time directly with clients, colleagues and friends; and build relationships across the globe. Now, making an unforgettable first impression in-person is no longer the only way to establish your brand. Yes, your brand.
While you may not be Nike or Disney, who you are and how you come across are really important to being successful. Our personal brands are in the spotlight everyday for everyone to see online. Are you putting your best foot forward? Maybe it’s time for some personal branding.
If you don’t brand yourself, someone else will, and the outcome might not be so favorable. Branding yourself keeps you current in your field, opens doors for you, and creates a lasting impression on potential and existing clients. By developing your own brand, you’ll have control over the initial perception people have of you.
“What is it that you want to be known for? Personal branding is how we define ourselves in the work space while also incorporating the personal elements that make us who we are,” according to Dawn Rasmussen, president of the Portland, Oregon-based Pathfinder Writing and Career Services.
What Makes You, You
A successful brand can go a long way with self-promotion, conveying loyalty, and offering consistency in the quality of the services you provide.
#1: Define your brand and become an expert. Take the time to do some soul searching and determine exactly who you are and what makes up your brand. Use words such as collaborative, resourceful, flexible, forward-thinking, connected, visionary, diplomatic, intuitive, precise, enterprising, ethical, genuine and/or accessible to describe your persona, culture, and outlook. Whether you’re looking to garner media attention, attract new clients or build your business, you should focus on becoming an expert in your field. Avoid establishing an expertise that's irrelevant to your mission, goals, and vision. You’ll just be wasting your time.
For example, if you know corporate tax accounting, it's probably not wise to brand yourself as a personal financial expert. Yet, remember that people want to hear about the professional you, but they also want to understand your personality. Don’t be afraid to inject your personality into the conversation.
#2: Establish a presence. You’re being Googled by friends, colleagues, and potential customers, so make sure your branded content is what people find when they Google your name. One way to do this is to build a basic online presence through your own website or blog.
For example, you can purchase your full name as a domain name (yourfullname.com). By developing either a static website or a blog under your domain name, you will own the first result for your name in Google and other search engines. This should be a separate site than your company's website. After purchasing your domain name, add your picture, a bio, your email address, and links to the rest of your presence (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter). This way, people can get in touch with you in their medium of choice. Claim your name before someone else does. While search engines will pick up on your social media pages, having your own domain will produce a more finite result.

#3: Generate brand awareness through networking. You should be connecting with other young professionals in the accounting industry by using social networks and commenting on their blogs. Networking is one of the best ways to become known in the industry. By forming relationships with people in your audience, you can grow your business and your brand long-term.
#4: Remember the 3 Cs of branding. Clarity, consistency, constancy. Be clear in who you are and are not. Don’t sugar-coat your qualifications. Express your brand across all communications mediums. Determine where you want to fit in (industry and niche area of expertise) and then remain visible to your target audience.
#5: Get feedback from those who know you best—at work, at home, anywhere. The true measure of your brand is the reputation others hold of you in their hearts and minds. Notice how they introduce you to others. Ask them what your top brand attributes and core strengths are. If they can easily tell you, then you’ve succeeded in branding you.
These days, branding the company you work for isn't enough. The world wants to hear what you have to say as a professional within a company. The work involved in uncovering your brand may seem daunting, but your efforts can benefit you immeasurably. Your unique brand message differentiates the best you have to offer, gives a good indication of what you’re like to work with, and shows how you make things happen.

Write Your Vision Check and Post it Where You Can See It Daily

Success is something all career-driven individuals desire yet it eludes many people -- at least at the levels desired. Why are some business people successful and others not?
It has everything to do with habits, beliefs, passion, flexibility and attitude.
Often there's nothing really different between one entrepreneur and another in terms of ability, as each person can do whatever he or she wants. What it all comes down to is having the frame of mind to set practical habits and keep a balance between attachment and commitment and letting things happen.
Here are 10 mindsets for success:
1. Choose courage over fear.
To be successful, you have to have courage. And to become courageous, do courageous things. Much of being successful is about going beyond what you think you're capable of -- venturing into the unknown. Whether you fail or succeed, you will learn and grow.
Growth, in and of itself, means attaining a level of success whether it came from success or failure.

2. Believe in yourself.

Attitude is everything. A negative attitude decreases success and a positive attitude creates success. Without that belief in yourself, you'll lack a path to success.
Success is something that's created. It's not something that merely "happens.”
When you firmly believe in yourself, you can achieve virtually anything: It's within this belief that you'll find the power to create the resilience and fortitude needed to keep going when things get tough.

3. Choose good company.

Whom you surround yourself with is among the most important choices you'll make as you climb up the business ladder. Negativity is contagious and if work groups, especially bosses, are negative, there will be a ceiling to your success.
To reach the goals you desire, be willing to change bosses if necessary. Or if you're the boss, rid your team of toxic people immediately.
It only takes one toxic person to destroy the morale of an entire campaign. Further, when you surround yourself with other successful, goal-oriented individuals, you can learn from them and take on some of their habits to add to your own as you proceed along your road to success.
4. Adopt self-chosen goals.
Knowing and being clear about where you're headed in business is something that must come from within. When your goals selected by you, you're more motivated to achieve them.
That's because by achieving these goals, you attain a new desired piece of yourself. When your goals arise from your instigation, they carry a deeper meaning and confer a greater impact on your identity.
Each self-selected goal realized adds a depth and an internal expansion to you as a person. Personal expansion is just one of the great gifts to come from succeeding in your business goals.

5. Have a purpose and a vision.

Visualization is powerful because actions follow thoughts. A great technique for nurturing your vision and purpose is to make your goals visual. Some people use vision boards; others opt for treasure maps. And still others set goals identifying specific dates for their achievement.
Whatever works best is a matter for the individual to figure out.
I believe that anything that's written down is more likely to be achieved than visions kept only in the head. When you make your purpose visual, you make it real. When you keep them in your mind, they remain wishes.

6. Accept the challenge.

There are few easy paths up a mountain and often they're hard to find. Challenge will be an essential piece in any type of success in business.
And challenge is what creates your growth along the journey. Each challenge obstructing your path provides you with the chance to create a more defined direction toward attaining your dream vendors, customers, managers, employees -- and numbers. For this reason, bless each challenge. Each one is a compass directing you toward new business leads, circumstances and opportunities.

7. Be discerning.

Selectivity creates success. You must think deeply and intelligently about the bigger picture and what it is you need for each step along the way to continue articulating and executing your business goals.
Mindfulness means being aware of all angles and staying sharply in touch with the present so that you do not have to clean up mistakes in the future.
Be discerning of group dynamics: which person is the best at what job, which customers or deals will take you the furthest and what it is that each moment is calling on you to do or change to be the most efficient.
That's how selectivity offers you the pursuit of success.
8. Be willing to take risks.
There are no guarantees on any path to success in life or business. The unknown is always looming. Therefore, risk and education are often the mechanisms necessary for knowing more clearly if you're on the right path.
If you're afraid to risk, you will put limits on your success and stay where you're comfortable. You cannot get what you want if you don't risk rejection and go for what you desire.

9. Do what you love.

You're more likely to succeed in business when you're invested in your passion and making your career fit your personality. There is a way to find passion about anything and everything you do in life.
You may not love every part of your job but tolerating discomforts by looking at the bigger picture makes your investment of time and energy worthwhile.
Be willing to love and find purpose in all aspects of what your business requires, commit to it and see what you're doing as being a benefit to others. When you love the business you're in, there is nothing that can keep you from wanting to work at it, nurture it and make it grow.

10. Gratitude.

When you see life and career in terms of the lack in what you have achieved, you cannot drive your business up the ladder of success. Then negativity is impeding your progress.
You must look at all you have and realize how great what you have is as compared to the situation of many others.
When you have this attitude, you stop suffering and complaining about the small stuff. On each receipt you pay out, write thank you. That's not only to thank the person, event, vendor or customer for what's provided you but also to give a private thanks acknowledging that you have the abundance necessary to pay for the service, product or event.
Habits coupled with flexibility provide you with a path to success. Success is fluid and so rigidity will stand in its way.
Developing these mindsets give you a compass to navigate the ever-changing tides on the way to business and financial goals. These mindsets allow openness and flexibility while also providing you precise direction.

7 Reasons Why I Started Taking ‘Personal Branding’ Seriously (And Why You Should Too)

Over the last year or so, I have been talking about personal branding a lot.
I mean….A LOT.
Isn’t it funny?
A direct response marketer like myself who has built all of his million dollar businesses via measurable campaigns, keeps talking about something as intangible as branding.
So why do I do it?
Because it FREAKING WORKS.
Over the last few years, I have noticed that my personal brand has:
  1. Helped me close sales MORE easily
  2. Helped me close certain sales which I would NOT have otherwise been able to close
  3. Attract super committed customers & clients like bees to honey
A business partner of mines said he has a situation where someone came to him and said:
“Shaqir…I have been following you for a while and I love what you are doing. You seem to be everywhere online. I want to partner up with you and I have around $100,000 to invest in my business. Tell me what’s the fastest way to get results?”
Isn’t that sweet?
And just like that I sign up high ticket customers/clients for products and services ranging from $10,000 to $100,000.
When incidents like that first started happening, I was surprised (& thrilled) but didn’t pay much attention to why it was happening.
But when such incidents started becoming more and more frequent, it became so obvious as to what was the reason.
It was PERSONAL BRAND that was causing it.
There was no mistaking it.
Ever since I realized it, I have quadrupled my efforts to develop my BRAND.
When I say BRANDING, I don’t mean doing some vague corporate style marketing where the focus is to be on the top of people’s’ minds.
What I really mean is doing stuff that gets people to feel a STRONG UNSHAKEABLE connection with you.
You know the feeling which you get when you KNOW someone is just AWESOME and you just have to follow their path.
When people get that about you….you are GOLDEN.
Trust me on that.
Haha.
So how do we make people feel a strong connection with us?
I found out that if you do certain actions OVER & OVER again, not only will you make more sales but you will be strengthening your personal brand every single day.
Over time, your results will start compounding and you will experience exponential growth.
In this blogpost, I am going to list out the things that I do which has helped me build an insanely strong personal brand (and this brand keeps getting stronger every day).
  1. Be Authentic & Pour Out Your Thoughts By Writing Regularly
While this may seem like a simple advice, over 99% of marketers don’t follow it.
Most marketers are too busy either trying to copy (read steal) others’ work or come up with some clever (read unnecessarily creative) piece of writing to stand out.
It doesn’t work.
People came smell BS from a long way.
They can feel when you are being disingenuous.
That’s why writing from your heart and saying whatever you want to say connects with people at a core level.
I email my list DAILY where I share my real life experiences, stories about my various business trips, stories about my personal life, various marketing strategies, etc.
When people keep reading my emails day after day…month after month….one day, they finally wake up with an INSANE desire to work with me.
Same goes for blog posts too.
Blogging allows me to cut loose and delve deeper into different topics which may not be possible with emails.
That’s why I love writing blog posts for my readers.
As the great copywriter Ben Settle says, there is something therapeutic about turning your mind’s swirling thoughts into words.
It’s a way of expression.
Once you get into it, you will find it amazing to churn out cool emails and blog posts that produce results (sales, goodwill and personal branding).
So keep writing regularly and be yourself.
Here’s a big tip if you TRULY want to write from your heart:
Write fast in one go like you are speaking to the reader. It doesn’t matter if what you write looks bad. Just KEEP writing fast.
Once you are done with it, then go and edit it.
Do this regularly and you will be surprised to see how much your writing as well as your results improve.
  1. Create Regular Videos
In today’s online world, videos play a HUGE role.
People want to see who is behind a website.
People want to know you.
I will give you a real life example:
Whenever I market any Live Event, I find that people SHOW UP at the event more often when I do videos.
When I just use text, the show up rate is lesser no matter how great the copy is.
That’s just one of the many many examples of how much videos can influence people.
So get out there and start doing more videos.
You don’t have to do crazy long videos.
Start with small 2-5 min clips where you deliver value.
If you are too shy to show your face, then start out by doing screen capture videos. Use tools like Camtasia, Screen o matic, etc to capture what’s on your screen.
You can do product reviews, take people through your product back office, do presentations, trainings, etc.
The list is endless.
The more videos you do…the more you will bond with your audience.
  1. Do Content Filled Webinars
This is something that can give you an instant cashflow boost as well as help you develop credibility.
I regularly do a LOT of webinars where I open up my screen and walk people through various concepts and marketing strategies. I spend a considerable amount of time putting together the slides so that people can get value of my webinars even if they don’t invest in the high value programs I offer at the end.
Each webinar I do takes up around 2-3 hours and I take in questions during this time and interact with my attendees (vast majority of them stay right to the very end).
Every single webinar leaves me exhausted and immensely satisfied at the same time.
Not to mention, I pull anywhere from $25,000 to $100,000 for every webinar promotion I do these days.
Haha.
Double benefit.
Here’s the thing:
You don’t have to be some BIG SHOT to do webinars.
All you need to do is just build an email list, announce that you are going to do a webinar and just FREAKING do it.
What if no one attends your webinar?
So be it. Practice doing the webinar to an empty audience.
What if you don’t make sales?
So be it. Improve your presentation and keep doing more webinars.
It doesn’t matter if you fail.
At times, you JUST need to get started.
Keep driving traffic to build your list and and keep inviting your subscribers to attend your webinars (start with short small content filled webinars with an offer at the end and move on from there).
The more you do, the better you will get.
And results will follow.
  1. Be Accessible
This is something that is VERY important but at the same time, it must be taken in the right context.
If a prospect emails you a genuine question about your product and he receives no response, how would that make him feel?
Crap.
He would find it hard to invest in your products when a valid question doesn’t get answered.
That’s no way to conduct a business. Online business doesn’t mean humans turn into robots.
When you are accessible and you clarify the queries of those who reach out to you, it creates trust and results in MORE sales.
It also reassures your prospects that tomorrow if they run into any problems, they can always contact you and sort it out.
With that being said, we need to keep the accessibility part in context.
Just being accessible doesn’t mean you should be a slave to your prospects and customers.
It doesn’t mean they can reach you at any time and you are supposed to give a quick answer.
It also doesn’t mean you are supposed to lend them a shoulder so that they can cry about their failures.
No. No. No.
You must be accessible ONLY for legitimate queries.
You are here to help serious people. Not provide free service to tire kickers and whiners.
Now when you become successful, your time will get more valuable. At that stage, there is no way you can personally be responding to each and every query.
When you get to that stage, you need to setup support desks and have someone monitor your business emails so that every single genuine query gets answered on time.
It’s a good business practice and a simple gesture like that would go a LONG way in helping you make more sales & building your brand.
  1. Be Active On Social Media And Post Regularly
As much as doing emails, blog posts and webinars help….the fact is that a lot of your potential customers hang out on social media sites.
Having a strong social media presence is a MUST if you want to develop your personal brand.
The advantage of social media is that when you DELIVER VALUE, people can like it, comment on it and share it with others.
Everyone gets to see so much activity happening which positions your status in their minds.
Right now, I am focusing my efforts on 2 social media sites mainly…Facebook and Linklen.
It’s going great.
I share pictures, write about my experiences, do the occasional rants, write some value content pieces and people seem to LOVE it.
In fact, there are quite a few people who check Facebook more often than their email. So when you are out there marketing yourself by giving value, you can significantly increase your reach.
Here’s another tip.
Create Facebook Groups and invite people from your list to join you there.
It’s a great way to connect with people and start a lot of meaningful discussions.
A well maintained Facebook group will become a hub for thriving exchange of ideas as well as a great platform to make your latest announcements which will drive in more sales.
  1. Be Your Natural Self
While we should strive to be professional, at times its ok to show our fun self.
You could be the CEO of a billion dollar company but that doesn’t mean you will always be serious 24/7.
We all have the fun whacky crazy side of ours.
Feel free to show that.
Post pictures of you doing simple stuff on social media.
Post pictures of you laughing like a jackass.
Share funny videos and memes.
Let the world know you don’t take yourself seriously 24/7.
It really works.
I have the habit of sharing some of the most craziest pics of myself on social media and people seem to LOVE it.
I suggest you do the same.
Let people know who you are.
  1. Have High Standards And WOW Your Customers
This is something I take VERY VERY seriously.
My customers and clients are people who have bestowed their faith on me and have given me their hard earned money to get my products and services.
In return, I make sure I deliver 10X the value compared to what they have paid.
I want my customers to succeed like crazy.
I crave for their success because nothing pumps me up more than seeing my students succeed.
I want them to contact me like a happy kid and gleefully tell me about the awesome results they got following what I taught them.
That’s why I strive towards creating (or promoting) the highest quality programs.
In addition to that, I have put together a team of coaches to guide my high end customers and have a robust support system.
The goal is to give my customers/clients the BEST EXPERIENCE possible (in terms of education, implementation and support).
You know what happens when you do all this?
You get a TON of happy customers and word spreads fast.
You get a lot of referrals and it keeps growing each day.
So always make it your point to WOW your customer.
It will pay you back 1000X very fast.
So these are the things that I have been doing to build my personal brand and the results have been pretty good.
I would suggest you give them a try too.
Of course, you can’t do all of them at one go.
So start out by writing regular emails and blog posts and move on from there.
Consistency is the key.
Keep doing it and soon you will start seeing good results.
Now let me just close out this post with a VERY REAL fact:
While it’s absolutely possible to build a highly successful online businesses to the tune of 6 and 7 figures FAST…..it’s also possible to lose it all if you don’t build your business on sound principles.
There are countless marketers out there who became successful online and then took things for granted which led to their business crashing and leaving them broke.
I, on the other hand, will be able to create 5 multi million dollar business starting from 2017 and every year my income will only grow.
Why?
Because I CARE about my business and CARE about my customers.
I don’t promote shady products for a quick buck or let my customers rot after they have bought from me.
I run my business with great care which is why I see great results from it.
So ALWAYS make sure….you give a DAMN about your business and customers.
Provide value.
Build a brand.
Wow your customers.
Keep innovating.
Do all this and you don’t ever have to worry about your business crashing because your sales & brand value would ONLY be rising.

3 Simple Steps To Consistently Crush It In Your Business

Chances Are You’re Doing This Backwards

Have you ever wondered how some people seem to become overnight successes?
One minute they’re nowhere to be found and then next thing you know they’re getting everyone’s attention in  your company, collecting all the awards and making sales right and left?

If you want to recruit leaders like this onto your team using social media… Click here to check out my latest training before it gets taken down.   Especially if your warm market has run out or you live in a small town and you’re looking to recruit leaders that build powerful teams world wide, that new training will be super helpful.
Because what I can tell you is that these “overnight successes” didn’t happen overnight.
More often than not, it’s quite the opposite.
However, each every single overnight success has 3 key ingredients that they focused in on during their time of hustle and growth.
I’ll break down all three in my video below in just a second because there’s a good chance that you’re taking action in all three categories…
You might just be messing up the order on HOW to take action that will create long term profit and growth for you.
My video below will explain how:

Learning to work on your business with the Grow, Engage and Promote strategy is critical (especially if you want your business to be around long term).  If you start to pay attention, you’ll see some overnight success businesses that fizzle out just as fast as they catapulted into their success.
Chances are if they had quick up front success…
They were starting with Promote first (as I’ll explain in the video above).  If you want a business that continues to pay you over and over again for the years to come, you’ve got to participate in all three arenas to get the max benefit.
So if you want to:
  • Create a massive following of people who know, like, trust and buy from you
  • Have a list of the hottest prospects that are chomping at the bit to buy whatever you’re selling
  • Utilize social media to find the hottest prospects and potential top producers for your team
Then go watch my latest training replay I did with my friend Jessica.  She’ll break down how to enroll 2-3 new people per week into your business without ever leaving your house.  Pretty sweet right?
It’s not as hard as you might think…
As you’ll see when you hop onto the training.
Hope this was helpful to you, if it was, please share it with your team and others you know that might benefit.  Especially if you want a strategy that’s duplicatable that any member of your team can do.
Make It Happen,
Randall Jenkins

Three Simple And Proven Ways To Build Your Network

Is it possible to skip the home parties, avoid approaching your family members and friends with your product and build your network marketing business using the internet?
I say yes… and no.
Let me explain…
As I was scrolling through my NewsFeed on Facebook over the weekend I realized how many friends I have that are involved in a some sort of home business.
Now in so many ways this is a great thing.  I’ve got loads of people just like me who believe in an industry that’s allowing people to build up a side or full time income who think like I think.
However…
That doesn’t mean that all of my friends on Facebook know how to market effectively using the internet.  I’d actually say that most don’t.  Sure it ruffles some of my friend’s feathers when they see people posting their opportunity links into Groups, inviting you to their Events and posting their opportunity links on your wall…
I’ll share with ya a quick story on when I made that mistake in just a sec…
Most people get angry or annoyed to the point of unfriending the them, but for the most part…
It’s makes me smile, because I’ve been there too.
In fact, there was one particular incident 4 years ago where I actually posted my opportunity link so many times on a highly successful 7 Figure home business owner’s Facebook Fan Page…
(I’ll save the juicy details about this story for another post, but I’m pretty sure you get the picture… lol.)
…that I received a personal private message from this person giving me a heads up that they were going to ban and report me to Facebook if I continued to “spam my links” all over her page.
And honestly…
I deserved it.
I was confused, embarrassed and annoyed… with myself.
That single incident gave me a good reality check that…
I had absolutely no idea what I was doing when it came to effectively marketing my business online.
At that moment I realized that I was marketing like I was in desperation mode and everyone else out there saw it too.  Instead of continuing to go down that windy road, I educated myself, observed what other top marketers were doing in my industry and started to implement their strategies into my own business.
And what do ya know?  I actually started getting results. ðŸ˜‰
Here are three ways that I learned how to effectively market a home business using the internet.  I’ve used all three methods (some longer than others) and all produced more leads and more sales than I had EVER gotten with just desperately posting my links everywhere.
So let’s dive in!

Strategy #1: Social Media Prospecting

This strategy is an approach which will seem pretty familiar, because it’s prospecting as we’ve always done it, just with an online twist.
This is the first strategy I ever utilized to bring in new people into my network marketing business, affiliate marketing business and to sell coaching/training products of my own.
Now prospecting on social media is NOT “Internet marketing,” however it still beats camping out at your local mall prospecting every cashier you come face to face with.
I originally learned this strategy from my friend Reginald.
1) SEARCH – Use Facebook Search to find ‘friends of friends’ who live locally (at least to start with).
There are a few reasons for doing it this way…
First of all, Facebook allows you to directly message ‘friends of friends’ so that your message goes into their main inbox, instead of the “Other” inbox, which most people don’t even know exists.
Secondly, you start with local, because it will allow you to eventually meet face to face with them to form a more powerful personal connection. Given that you have no prior relationship, it’s important to meet.
2) QUALIFY – Next, you take a minute to look at their profile and identify key interests that might resonate with you personally, your business or your products.
You are also looking for more subtle things, like are they smiling in their pictures? Are they outgoing? Do they seem to be a positive person?
Bear in mind, you are prospecting, but you are also qualifying them.
For example, an interest in Robert Kiyosaki might mean there’s an interest in entrepreneurship or diversified income streams. An interest in CrossFit indicates an interest in health and wellness and that might resonate with your company’s products.
3) MESSAGE – Then you craft your first message to them, which believe it or not, follows a somewhat standard prospecting approach.
You can come up with a template (which I initially did), but each message will be tailored to them specifically. This message will mention friends you have in common. You mention that you’re a recruiter for a “health & wellness company” or whatever the niche is, you’re “expanding in the area” and you ask if they are “open to earning extra money?”
Your initial message should not be thought of with any intention of closing a sale.  This is just to see if they’re even open to building a home business.
You DO NOT want to be posting copy/paste messages with links to sign up for your opportunity. Not only is that not effective, it’s considered SPAM by Facebook and can get your account shut down and get your company in trouble too.
In this initial message, you aren’t giving them any info or links. You are simply trying to get them to express an interest.
4) BOOK – If they respond back with interest, book a face to face meeting, if local or at the very least get them on the phone. You just let them know that details are better explained in person and, “if we were to work together, it’s a good opportunity to see if we would like each other! ;-)”.
At this point, if they meet with you, hopefully your company or upline have defined a solid process for you to follow from here.
Remember, not everyone is going to respond with a “Yes… oh pick me!  Sign me up!”.  I’d say most won’t.  Some won’t even respond initially…
If they don’t answer back, there are some different approaches here.  You can either play it safe and leave the ones that didn’t answer back, alone.  Or you can take a walk on the wild side… J
I used to follow up with a 2nd message 4-5 days later, if they didn’t answer back.
It’s a short message simply to see if they a) received the 1st message and b) to see if they are interested. Sometimes they don’t get the first message or see the message when they are in the middle of something and forget to answer back.
When I started sending a follow up message I received a huge increase in responses.  Most were positive and some people even apologized for not getting back to me sooner, lol!
I recommend not sending a third follow up message.  At this point, you assume a “NO” and move on.
Speaking of moving on… here’s another cool strategy…

Strategy #2: Show Me The Money (Well… sort of.)

This process is pretty simple and depending on your personality, may or may not be great for you.
This pretty much involves posting your results on social media (i.e. showing checks, cars you’ve earned, vacations you’ve won, your before and after weight loss pics) and waiting for people to express an interest via the comments or private message.
Additionally, to boost results, you can add a CALL TO ACTION to message you, if they want more info.
From a ‘leading with the opportunity’ angle, this would involve posting pictures and announcements about your ‘rags to riches’ story, income results, and the impact it’s made on your lifestyle. (Obviously, you can only do this if you’ve gotten results.)
I utilized this approach initially on my personal Facebook page and I’ve seen people whom I know personally deploy this strategy with great success, but I’ll be honest, I didn’t utilize this strategy for too long.
When you utilize this strategy this way…
I’ll share a tweak of what I started doing that was much more effective and authentic to my personality in just a second…
It can appear hypey and can piss off your real life friends & family, but I know it can work well too, because let’s face it, most people have a desire for more income.
Like any strategy, if you overuse it and are posting checks right and left or jumping from one opportunity to the next…
Alternatively…
I’ve utilized this method and have seen others do the same with a ‘leading with the product’ angle.  It tends to be much more powerful and usually more friend & company safe, especially if the results you are posting has to do with a personal or customer case study.
This angle will help you generate more customers and a few of those customers may express an interest in the business, after they fall in love with the product.
I’ve seen a lot of my coaching clients and friends rock this method with weight loss challenges & showing before and after pictures.  If you can provide a clear and visible result that was produced from product use, it’s incredibly powerful.
For example, when I was in the travel industry I posted pictures of my vacation/trips/how I booked my flights and then would reveal how little I paid for that experience.  Then when I received comments below the images or private messages…
I utilized Strategy #1 to build a relationship and begin the process of closing the sale. ðŸ™‚
Or if you’re in the health and wellness niche, you can post pictures of yourself running a marathon, decreasing your wrinkles on your face, or whatever, which would not have been possible without certain supplements or face creams.
Essentially, show everyone connected to you on social media a desirable change in your life, achieved in part or as a direct result of your product.
Once they express an interest, you follow whatever process you’ve been taught for closing people.
Initially, when I utilized both Strategy #1 and #2 I would book belly to belly meetings or book phone appointments to start closing people over the phone.  A great book to get  you started with this process is Eric Worre’s book Go Pro.  It really opened my eyes up to the process of how to invite, follow up and close a sale without hard selling.
But if “closing” people is not your thing, then here’s my favorite Internet strategy, which I’ve now used successfully in my business for the past 3 years…

Strategy #3: Attraction Marketing

Earlier I mentioned an embarrassing story that taught me a very hard lesson that I had no clue what I was doing when it came to marketing my business online.
Once I realized that I needed to educate myself from others who had already seen success with marketing their home businesses online.  I started to see a trend.  They were all attracting people to their businesses without spamming their links and most of the time I didn’t even know what company they were involved with.
I discovered how to do the same when I educated myself about marketing online.  You’ll hear more about his success with Attraction Marketing.
Once I learned Attraction Marketing, I actually stopped utilizing Strategy #1 and #2 as my main ways to generate more leads and close more sales…
Because I didn’t need them anymore.
I stopped messaging strangers my templated messages like in Strategy #1 because people were messaging me.
And I was no longer filling my friend’s News Feeds and my wall with thinly veiled promotions for an opportunity or product as in Strategy #2 because I was generating leads and closing sales on autopilot.
What I did was I created a truly passive way of making sure that when I woke up each morning…
I would have an inbox full of notifications, letting them know that there were 10, 20, 50, or even hundreds of new prospects, interested in learning more about my business or my products.
And what’s even cooler is that I also started having an inbox full of notifications of 5 – 10 new CUSTOMERS waiting to receive their product and excited about the possibility it holds for them.
You see, just about every other type of business in the world is now using proven, passive and scalable online marketing & advertising methods.
So why NOT use these methods in your network marketing  or home business to give you more time in the day to do whatever it is that you love?
Just like anything else in business, this didn’t happen overnight for me.  It took me educating myself, staying focused and actually taking action consistently on Attraction Marketing to create momentum and see results.
So no matter where you are in your business…
